Santa Anita Lawn Bowling Club

Try Lawn Bowling!

Lawn bowling is a great outdoor sport, perfect for Southern California's weather and outdoor lifestyle! A sport for all ages ... it's social ... it's competitive ... it's fun! In much of the world, lawn bowlers begin participating as teenagers, and sometimes even earlier.

We always welcome new members -- after only one or two lessons you're ready for social bowling. To ask about free lessons, or for any other information, email us at info@SantaAnitaLawnBowling.com

The Santa Anita bowling greens are located in Arcadia County Park -- on the west side of Santa Anita Ave. just south of Huntington Drive, one-half mile south of the 210 Freeway's Santa Anita exit. There's convenient free parking next to the greens. Or take the Metro -- we're just a short walk from the Gold Line's Arcadia station.

Santa Anita is one of only two clubs in the United States with four greens (two of which have lights for night bowling), so we're often chosen to host large tournaments such as the annual Southwest Open for both men and women bowlers. Lawn bowlers come to the Open from all over California and the rest of the US, and often from a few other countries as well.

We're extremely grateful to County Supervisor Kathryn Barger for her longstanding support of lawn bowling at Arcadia Park, and to the Los Angeles County Department of Parks & Recreation for managing and maintaining the greens.

Watch a short video to see how lawn bowling is played. Come on out to Arcadia County Park to watch. And maybe arrange for a free lesson, too. We'll see you on the greens!
